Welcome to
g.neri.com. I'm the author of the middle-grade
novella Chess Rumble,
the young
adult novel Surf Mules
and the
graphic novel Yummy (August 2010). I write
provocative, edgy stories for reluctant readers,
especially urban boys,
in hopes
that these kinds of books-- immediate, compelling and told through the
eyes of young males--will open minds to reading. And there are two
more novels on the way: Ghetto
Cowboy (2011) and Caught (2012).

way in here, check out the site and stay awhile... G. Neri named the 2010 winner of the Lee Bennett Hopkins/ International Reading Association Promising Poet Award for his book CHESS RUMBLE. The Award, founded in 1995, is given every three years for the most promising book of poetry for young people from all around the world. He is the 6th recipient. SCHOOL VISITS Starting in August 2010, I will be in Berlin for a year, so I am offering free Skype school visits to any class that is reading one of my books!
